Airbrush Tanning is not only the latest but also the fastest growing service in the tanning industry. A solution, which has the active ingredient DHA is sprayed on your skin and reacts with the amino acids in the dead layer of your skin. DHA combines with the amino acids to form brown-colored melaninoids, which gives you the "suntan" glow. It is not absorbed into the body and is non-toxic. DHA is derived from sugar cane and was discovered back in the 1920's. The FDA approved it in 1973. The person's skin type and how well they take care of it determine the length of the tan. It can last 7-12 days.
Best way to Fake A Tan
1. Prep your skin the day before by showering, exfoliating, shaving and moisturizing. The purpose of the exfoliation is to get all of the dry skin off; this way, the spray tan is going into a fresh, even layer of skin. The longer you keep this layer of skin, the longer your tan will last. So be good to your skin and MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE!

2. Come to your appointment in or with a change of loose-fitting clothing and your skin completely clean (no lotion, makeup, perfume, deodorant, etc.

3. You can do the spray tan however you feel comfortable, whether it be in your swimsuit, bra panties, topless, nude, etc. The solution is water-soluble, so it should wash out of clothing.
4. Once you are tan, keep your skin completely clean... DO NOT APPLY ANY LOTION, MAKEUP, PERFUME, DEODORANT, ETC and avoid water (for at least 12 hours).
5. During the first shower, do not use soap. You will notice the bronzer rinse off, this is completely normal. Pat dry and keep skin moisturized.
6. Be good to your skin. Anything abrasive or exfoliating will cause the tan to fade sooner. The better you are to your skin, the longer your tan will last.
7. Chlorine and saltwater WILL FADE the tan. Xtreme Tan Xtender is recommended to help replenish color that may be lost due to the chlorine
